Lawn Mowing: We recommend regular mowing to maintain a healthy and well-groomed lawn. The equipment is properly serviced year-round to ensure the optimal blade length for each yard. We utilize mulching mowers and striping kits to continuously fertilize the yard and create beautiful designs that will surely impress your neighbors! Our lawn mowing is performed on a weekly basis unless otherwise agreed upon. This includes mowing, trimming of all edges and keeping all landscaped surfaces free of grass clippings.
Fertilizing: We recommend five applications a year that are applied approximately every 6 weeks starting in the Spring season. A custom schedule with additional spot treatments can be accommodated according to your lawn needs.
- Crabgrass Preventer: Pre-emergent product that will prevent weed seeds from sprouting and stops the growth of crabgrass.
- Weed & Feed: Continues to control the weeds especially dandelions while applying nitrogen into the root of the grass to encourage growth.
- Grub Control: Grubs – aka silent killers- can harm your yard and produce brown patches. Insect treatment will prevent these harmful insects from taking over your yard
- Over-Seeding: This important step aids in the health of your lawn. Weather, kids, and pets can put some added strain to your yard. Overseeding new turf creates a thick lawn for the remainder of the season.
- Winterizer: Applied in late fall/early winter to prepare your lawn for the winter by encouraging root growth and providing important nutrients.
Spring & Fall Clean-Ups: Just like inside a house, your lawn needs a little TLC during the Spring and Fall to help prepare for the upcoming season. Leaves, dead grass and other debris can be very harmful to your lawn if left on the grass. Each yard is unique, so we will evaluate the landscape and provide our recommendation before any work is done. Below is an example of tasks that are completed during Clean-Ups:
- Prepare flower beds (removal of weeds, trimming ornamental grasses, etc).
- Clearing away all debris in yard
- Complete Leaf removal
- Mowing lawn (edging around hardscapes, removing grass clippings)
- Pruning and trimming trees and shrubs
- Hauling away and composting debris
Gutter Cleaning: Gutters are easy to overlook but are one of the most important components of your home. The main purpose is to redirect the flow of rainwater to protect your roof, walls, foundation, and landscape. Gutters can become clogged by leaves, sticks, and other debris if not cleaned regularly. When they become clogged, they will not be able to function normally, which could end up in damaging the interior and/or exterior of your home. We will remove and haul any debris from the gutters. If needed, we can install gutter guard which will limit the amount of debris that accumulates in your gutters in the future.
Weed Control: Grass and weeds growing out of pavement cracks in sidewalks, driveways, and patio is a common annoyance! Commercial-grade products are the best way to rid your home of those pesky weeds. We are very careful, when spraying, to hit the root of the weeds and not the beautiful landscapes.
Pruning Trees & Shrubs: Routine pruning of trees and shrubs provides many benefits to the plants including more sunlight and air to filter through them. Certain times of the year are more beneficial to prune. We eliminate dead, dying, or diseased branches which allows more growth and keeps the plants healthy. This service also includes all removal of debris after trimming.
De-Thatching: This service removes the layer of dead grass and roots that accumulates between the soil surface and the green grass blades above. It opens up the surface of the yard to provide more nutrients and oxygen to the grassroots.
Aeration: Aerating is the process of perforating the soil with small plugs to allow air, water, and nutrients to reach the grassroots. The process reduces compaction, improves water infiltration, reduces lawn stress, and opens the soil among many other benefits. The plugs are left on the surface of the lawn to break down which usually takes a few weeks. This service is performed usually in the fall during optimum growing season.
Mulching: Mulch has many benefits aside from being aesthetically appealing! Mulch helps to moderate soil temperatures, retail soil moisture, fend of weeds, and provide nutrients to your plants. There are a variety of mulch colors that we can use depending on your landscape. We will weed the flower beds prior to adding a layer of mulch and clean up driveways and sidewalks at the end. We recommend applying mulch twice a year.
